When Henry David Thoreau went to Walden he went, he said,

“…because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.”

The long years spent building your career and raising a family are behind you—and now you have time to look ahead. What will your future hold? What matters most to you? How can you stay true to who you are in this new stage of life?

Join us for an inspiring week-long journey to craft a new, more authentic narrative for your life. Through experiential workshops, guided journaling, gentle yoga, structured meditation, and a supportive community of like-minded women you’ll learn how to:

Live without regrets by prioritizing what matters most

Cultivate purpose and meaning, the juice that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning

Trust and strengthen your intuition

Become more aware of the choices you make and subconscious blocks that get in your way

Live a life fueled by joy

You’ll come to the retreat with a hunger to learn about what matters most in your life and leave with a blueprint for putting it into action.

Shari Caudron

I offer space for individuals to explore their internal stories and to reflect on their experiences. I believe that by engaging with our narratives, we can gain a deeper understanding of our emotions, our beliefs, and our values. We can also begin to see ourselves as the heroes of our own lives, with the power to overcome obstacles and create meaningful change going forward.

As an author, memoir coach, purpose guide, and award-winning teacher, Shari is highly skilled at helping people see the wisdom hidden inside their life experiences. In addition to her own coaching practice, she’s been on the faculty of the University of Denver, Arizona State University, and Lighthouse Writers. After years spent gently helping people examine their life story through memoir writing, Shari became passionate about helping people craft the story of their life going forward. In fact, the Living Deliberately retreat is a direct outgrowth of the book Shari is currently writing about how to live a life without regrets. For those interested in such things, Shari is a Taurus, a Seven on the Enneagram, and an INFP on the Myers- Briggs Type Indicator. She’s also a lifelong geek when it comes to personal improvement, and she brings this passion into her writing and personal growth retreats.

Nova Loverro

Nova’s love for yoga began the day she was born when, she is told, she did her first full wheel.  Since that time, her love of movement has expanded from the sheer joy of the body’s ability to express bliss into the more subtle layers of consciousness.  Recognized for her authentic and warm nature that invites students to experience the fullness of their hearts, Nova (E-RYT 500) has been studying and teaching the science of yoga and meditation since 1999. In addition to teaching retreats and workshops nationally and internationally for the past fourteen years, Nova has taught Yoga Therapy privately, at PT Clinics and founded a Yoga for Cancer and Cardiac Care at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.  Prior to her work in the yogic arts, Nova founded several non-profits and did mentoring for Latina youth, women going through cancer, and refugees.

Mar De Jade

Living Deliberately will take place at Mar de Jade, a yoga, wellness and retreat center nestled between the tropical jungle and pristine sandy beach of Chacala, Mexico. Chacala is a small undeveloped village located about 90 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta on the lush coastline known as Riviera Nayart.

We’ve chosen this remote location because lasting change is more likely to occur when you’re away from your life in an unfamiliar environment.

What participants have had to say about our other retreats:

“When I learned Shari Caudron was hosting a retreat in Mexico I didn’t hesitate to sign up.  Caudron’s thought-provoking writing sessions combined with the stimulating, as well as restful, yoga sessions taught by the lovely Nova Loverro made a huge impact on my life.  The food was delicious, the setting beautiful, and all of the women were delightful.  Thank you, ladies, for delivering at such a high level.  I will never forget my time there. I’m honored to be a member of the Chacala Chicas.  I can’t wait until the next retreat!”

~C. Dernbach

“Shari’s Memoir Retreat was one of the best gifts I’ve ever given myself.  I was initially nervous to go but once there, I quickly found connections with fellow memoirists. The setting was stunning. The food was delicious and Shari’s expert facilitation created openings and opportunities for our growth as writers. I was pleased to arrive home from Chacala with a newfound confidence and clarity about my path forward–and to leave with new and beautiful friendships.”
